  1. So far in this book it seems like the main character is a young trouble making boy who loves pottery and his family even nick named him "trouble boy."

  2. The subtitle of the book is “George E. Ohr, Eccentric Genius.” Describe George. What
are some of his personality characteristics that really stand out to you? Give some
    examples.

  3. What do you think of his pottery? Do you like it? Why or why not? If not, can you
appreciate it? Why or why not?

  4. I think his pottery is very unique and I like his pottery. Its almost as if he sits by the ocean and watches the waves then makes his pottery wavy like the ocean.

    1. What a great description Owen! If I had never seen Ohr's pottery I could picture it in my head based on the ocean imagery. You are right on!

  5. I was surprised how this isn't as much a story as it is a biography about the "Mad Potter." I also agree with Owen. The Mad Potter's pottery is just amazing. I can't see how he didn't sell a ton of them when he was still alive.

  6. The fact that back in the 1880's the Mad Potter could barley make 10 dollars by selling multiple pieces of pottery and now in the 21 century the pieces sell for tens of thousands of dollars is just awesome. Also I think the Mad Potter looks at the sky and clouds for inspiration, as well as the ocean. Its almost as if he looks up, then down, then up, then down.
