I am reading Prisoner 88, which is about a boy named Jake. So far he is starting to like things in prison such as the food. But then there are some prisoners Jake still needs to get used to because they get into fights.
I started to read Prisoner 88. I chose this book because it sounded very interesting, because never heard anything before about a kid younger than me that had to go to jail. I kind of feel bad for Jake. So far this book is alright but I think it will get better the more I read it.
I read Prisoner88 over the weekend and I really like it. Jake is really liking the new prison cause of the food. He thought he was in heaven because of it. But, Jake got in trouble and he got his consequences. So far this book is pretty good although I'm still not that far In it.
I haven't read this book, but now I'm curious: Man!!! this poor kid likes prison because of the food!!?? what does this say about his life before prison????
I think Jake will be happy to get out and see his new family, but I also think that he will be sad because his pa left him. Also I think Jake understands that his pa left him because he could starve.
I just finished Prisoner88, and it was awesome. Its so cool to see Jake's perspective because not many 10 year olds go to jail. This book can be hard to read because of how they talk. But overall I would give this book a 10 out of 10 because it has such a great plot.
I agree Jack. This is historical Fiction. This prison really existed and there were sometime young kids there serving their sentence. The fiction part is the story surrounding Jake and the relationships and conversations he has with the other characters.
In prisoner 88 I think that he is getting us to jail and is getting use to be called his number 88 this book is really good it's full deatails and really gets the vibe of explainming.
I chose this book cause the book flap was very interesting I like to learn about the olden times of how they lived back then

ReplyDeleteJack did not mean to do thing had done, but some say that mistakes are good. Also Jake was watching the pigs being born in the pen.

DeletePrisoner 88 is a good book I an at the part were he is just being taken to jail. It sounds like he is not very pleased about haw jail treats him.
